Elco is so named because he used to hide under an El Camino. He has been bounced around a lot but is quickly becoming familiar with meeting new people and dogs and going on adventures. He is super smart, treat motivated, and wants to please his people. He picked up a few tricks in a matter of minutes. He just needs someone willing to continue his training and exposure. He has enormous potential!

Elco can be shy in some situations (but he's not shy about being pet by his people!) and it would be great to find someone willing to help him build his confidence. He is very well mannered with other dogs in the home and is patient at dinner time. He can be a little shy meeting new dogs out on walks.

Expect Elco to bond quickly and be extremely friendly with all people. He adores receiving contact and enjoys following people around. He understands doggie doors and would benefit from a backyard, as he is athletic and capable of running around or joining on beach and hiking trips. He is great in the car and ready to go!

Elco came to us because his guardians were no longer able to have a dog.
