Olaf is a gentle guy who spends much of his day sleeping, but can move about a yard with vigor. He is deaf but does have limited vision. He spotted a seagull in his foster's yard and showed some surprising energy in chase. He is uncoordinated at times but is getting his ability back. He is good on walks but is only capable of short ones at this time. He is still not interested in toys and alert barks about people he sees.

Olaf is a mellow guy who can be wary of new people. He needs to establish trust with someone and may never come for snuggles, but is receptive to being picked up and loved. He is looking for someone with patience and devotion to help guide him to be the best dog he can be and understand his background of neglect. Despite all he has been through, Olaf is endearing because of his resilience and great potential.

Olaf was found in very rough shape and taken to Hitchcock Road Animal Services. We brought him into our program and immediately to our vet office as he was lethargic, dehydrated, had an infected mouth, was covered in fleas, and underweight. He has rebounded well and improved a great deal physically. We are excited to see his personality blossom as his health continues to improve.
