Shortstack had been left in a cardboard box on the side of the road, and he was suffering from heat stroke when a Good Samaritan came along and found him. He was taken to Hitchcock Road Animal Services for help and they turned to POMDR to bring him into our program.
Shortstack has made a remarkable recovery from the heatstroke, but he does have kidney disease, it was progressing and we feared he may be a hospice care but his values have been steadily increasing and this little guy has proven how much of a fighter he is!
Shortstack is starting to run and play at his foster home. He is hearing impaired and a bit vision impaired but he comes to claps and high pitches noises when his foster mom calls him.
