Letty -- short for Leticia, which means "happiness" -- is on a journey to find her forever happiness after an unforeseen disruption of her previous happy place. So, what makes Letty happy these days? First of all, being with people she loves. And that's pretty much anybody who is up for snuggles, cuddles, kisses, and giving her lots of the attention and affection she craves. Toys, especially tennis balls and stuffed anything-that-squeaks, will set her tail to wagging with happiness. Letty has found her voice and enjoys using it with frequent reminders to "Listen up, Human Friends. I've got something important to say!" She's always ready for an outing, whether in the car (cyclists and passersby might get an earful) or on foot.
Letty is gaining confidence daily around other pups. After initial skittishness, she relaxes and enjoys playing with new doggie friends. Letty's dog manners are quite nice. She's tolerant of the youngsters and properly respectful of dogs who expect her to know her place in the dog world. Letty has never been left completely alone, as she has always had the company of her sister when her humans aren't around. She will need some help in developing confidence in new situations. With patience, guidance, attention and lots of interaction and activity from her human guardians (maybe an active family with older kids), Letty will likely blossom into everything one could want in a great doggy companion.
Letty came to us because her guardian moved into a mobile home that would only allow her to keep 2 dogs. She previously lived on a large ranch in which her 9 beloved dogs had plenty of room. Now Letty is looking for a new happy home to bring her in!
