Beans is a love bug with a happy smile. She is social and wants to say hello to everyone (human or otherwise) that walks by her. And while friendly, she is looking for a special home. She is looking to find a quiet forever home that is calm and without kids. Rogue noises do upset her and she does playful nips when she gets too excited. She also is looking for a large yard with plenty of room to run around and explore. In transition, Beans has been an escape artist who is also good at squeezing through small spaces and by people to run free. Once settled, she is content to stick around.

Mostly, she is an all around happy girl and has been good with other dogs. Her anxiety mostly manifests at night or in the car. A white noise app has been somewhat helpful for her fear of night noises. Treats have also held her focus for a short time to help her acclimate and are needed for car rides. For trips in the car, she needs lots of hot dog treats and patience to help desensitize her to the strangeness of a vehicle.

Beans is full of life and would do best with someone that can dedicate time to walking or running her at least twice a day. She has a good amount energy in the morning and seems to settle by evening, so someone who can walk or run her first thing would be ideal. Beans appears to radiate confidence but we do think she needs to work on socialization and a little training. She may have been an outside dog before coming to us. Our hope is she continues to progress and makes an excellent companion for a lucky person.
