Lights, camera, action! Spike Lee is ready to direct his way into your heart and find his forever home. This sweet gentleman is vision impaired, but still gets around well, using his nose to explore and meet other dogs. He will go on walks and follows well on a leash as long as his person is up for a nice leisurely stroll. He gets along well with other dogs and people, but likes calm, slow introductions due to his vision.

Mellow is a perfect word to describe him, and his demeanor makes him very easy to care for. He does well in cars, but would benefit from a doggie seatbelt or car seat to help stabilize him. The only time he gets vocal is when his foster-bird-brother gets too loud (but who can really blame him for wanting to join in?).

Spike Lee is a pro snuggler, but isn't needy. He is content to sit in your lap and receive your love and affection, or spend some time in his bed. He doesn't let life get him down and has a great positive attitude and a ton of confidence. He is used to being allowed to roam freely, but his vision issues make that dangerous. He would do best in a home with a secure yard, no high ledges, and not a lot of big furniture changes so he can get used to the layout of his new place.

Spike came to POMDR after being surrendered to Monterey County Animal Services after being picked up while he was on the loose and his previous person could no longer care for him.
