Guinness - what a glorious dog! His best trait is his happy and loving disposition. Although he's a little "stout" (get it?) and has vision limitations, his energy level is good and his enthusiasm for love, life, and playtime has not flagged. You would never guess he's 11- he's young at heart, agile, and alert.

Guinness is super adaptable and trainable, given his motivation for treats. He loves to interact with toys, either with his human or on his own. This good boy really enjoys people, company, and attention and you will find him in doggy heaven when he wins ear scratches and belly rubs from you.

Guinness is eager for his walks and behaves well on leash. The ideal home for Guinness is one with someone home to love him most of the time, because he adores human companionship so much.

Here's what his wonderful foster mom has to say about Guinness: "You can't help but smile when he's around and he's going to make you laugh out loud at times. I can't overstate how much joy Guinness adds to a room and to a family. He will capture your heart quickly and you'll wonder what you ever did without him." We couldn't have said it better!

He is missing one of his eyes but he doesn't let that stop him. The other eye requires three different eye drops, which he takes well. There is a good chance that he may lose his vision eventually and will need someone who understands that risk. He also has some separation anxiety and is overly interested in most dogs. While sweet with them, he can pester dogs that do not care for other dogs.

Guinness came to us because his senior guardian has dementia and can no longer care for him.
