Peanuts is a shy girl at first but once she feels safe, she blossoms and becomes sweet with the people around her. She really is a love and feeds off positive attention. She gets along with other dog friends and accepts getting pets from new people, but is overall wary of new situations. She is currently overweight and needs help from her person to regulate her food and get her out for walks to shed some pounds. She is good on leash and a nice little walking companion but her timidness may strike in certain situations and she could be cowering, hiding behind her person, and refusing to go. She needs help gaining confidence.

Peanuts will benefit from have a secure yard and even more so if she has constant access to it. She is a delight and will dance for food, attention, and her way into your heart. She is great with cats, being able to live and share space with them or ignoring them all together on walks.

Peanuts does have Pituitary Cushing's and needs to be on medication for the rest of her life to keep her hormones balanced. She takes her medications like a champ, as if they were treats.

Peanuts came to us after her guardian moved into the hospital for an undetermined amount of time and could no longer care for her.
