Adopted
Dandelion, or Mandy, is a total sweetheart. Her foster said "I have not met a sweeter, kinder dog. She loves her people." She gladly lets you pick her up (gently) and won't turn down a pet or two even if you are new. Once acquainted, you'll have a lovebug ready to snuggle.

Dandelion was found as a stray with a cantaloupe-sized hernia hanging off of her abdomen. She was seen running, yes, RUNNING down the street dragging her enormous hernia underneath her like it was nothing. She has had this removed and is doing well with recovery. There is still swelling in the photos, thus the loose skin. This is being reabsorbed and tightening up.

Her ideal home is one where her person can devote a lot of attention to her. She is a true lap dog, cuddle bug, and an easy keeper. However, this is in a quiet home and preferably with just women. Dandelion is afraid of men and will hide from them. She is good on leash only with women and could still benefit with access to a secure yard.

Dandelion came to us from Hitchcock Road Animal Shelter. She was adopted but did not accept the husband despite his many attempts to woo her, and hides whenever he is around. They felt Dandelion deserves a home where she is comfortable.
