Sofie is a wiggly little girl! She is fine around other dogs and is generally uninterested in them. She much prefers napping. She has been through a lot of changes recently. We think she will really blossom once she has a routine stabilized.

Sofie has impaired vision and hearing but actually does nicely when she gets to roam a yard. She does startle a bit when picked up and has the potential to wiggle out of hands, so a person should be wary and hold her securely. She has lived with cats, has no experience with kids but she is sweet and would be good around them.

Sofie's guardian's home tragically burned down in the recent fires in Santa Cruz. Her senior guardian decided moving into an assisted living facility would be her next step so she had somewhere to live, and unfortunately she couldn't take Sofie with her. Sofies's original guardian had her for ten years and believe her to be 20 years old. After her veterinary exam, our vet thought she was closer to 10-12 years old. Due to the wide discrepancy, we're estimating her to be about 15 years old.
