Tyra is an undeniably beautiful dog! She has a unique coat that makes her look like a mini fox! She can sure turn some heads. She is very sweet and patient and does well in a crate and very home appropriate. She will put herself to bed and await the next adventure. She sleeps a lot but this senior needs her beauty rest. Tyra likes being held and is a nice little lap dog.
She is a shy but friendly dog who likes a calm and gentle person and home. She herself is quiet, with no barking, and seeks a quiet life. She is good with other dogs, just timid, but allows the normal introductory sniffing. She walks nicely and slowly on leash.
Tyra is looking for a home without stairs. She is not good going up them and is terrified about going back down. She has Pomeranian fur so her person should expect regular grooming, random giant knots, and luxurious pets. She does have an unsteady gait with her back legs that is from arthritis and a curved spine.
The Hollister Animal Shelter told us that she has a "softening trachea" that we hope to help her with. She was surrendered to the shelter to be euthanized because of her age. But we all agree this sweetie has her golden years left to live.
