Doja Marie is a sweet 11-year-old Labrador Retriever who came to POMDR after her guardian was in a horrific motorcycle accident.
Sadly, Doja Marie came to us with several very large masses. We were able to run some very sophisticated tests to get a clear picture of what Doja Marie is facing.
She has metastasis to her lymph nodes and kidneys and a very large sarcoma on her side. She is not a good candidate for surgical removal of the large mass. But we didn't give up on her.
We were able to remove a second large dangling mass that was very uncomfortable for her which has made her quality of life much better.
She is being treated by the oncologist at Animal Cancer Center. With chemo, the large sarcoma is shrinking and she is tolerating her treatment well.
Doja Marie is getting the best care possible and will stay in POMDR foster care for the rest of her life. We plan to keep this girl smiling as long as we can.
