Dafne is a little shy, but enjoys pets and scratches and tolerates being held. She wants to bond with someone and will sink into the comfort of their care.
She is a bit wary of other dogs but is overall good and tolerant and can live with other canines. She is so cute and has great potential as a smart and affectionate companion.
Dafne came to us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services where she was losing weight despite having a ravenous appetite. After coming to POMDR, she was diagnosed with Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI), which is fairly easy to control with a low fat diet and an enzyme supplement, but she will need to be under the ongoing care of a veterinarian to manage this lifelong chronic disease.
