True to his name, Peppy is a high-energy, curious little guy, equally eager to play with other dogs or have human pets and attention. He does want to make sure his person is in sight at all times, but as long as he can see you, he's comfortable with playing and exploring. Because of his anxiety about being alone, he is looking for an adopter that he can spend the majority of the day with but also one that has the ability to give him the exercise he needs.

He's very affectionate, and will come running over for pets if you call to him. Peppy does need some leash training, as he pulls and becomes overexcited on leash, even tripping himself up, but he's eager to please and will be a fast learner. He also needs further guidance with a house training but he has made strides at his foster's home. He can be intimidated by some men and they should be a little slower in introducing themselves. He comes around to a gentle pet but he may alert bark to let them know he is nervous.

Peppy came to us from South County Animal Rescue, where he was surrendered after his guardian passed away.
