Whoa- slow down a minute, and take a good look at Palomina. She's a little darling who is a gentle and slow moving pup. Touch is very important to this girl - she loves to be close to you, preferably snuggled right up. A belly rub will put her into rolled-over ecstasy, and ear scratches are one of her favorite things. Palomina loves the company of other dogs, and sweetly follows the cat around at her foster home, so any animal combo you have at home now will be A-OK with her. Stairs are a challenge for her and she needs to lose a considerable amount of weight, and will need support with that in her next home. Palomina is also beginning to lose some of her hearing and vision, but she uses her nose to help her navigate.
Palomina has good energy when it's time to get going. She is up for a walk anytime. Lots of sniffs need to happen on those outings! If you want to take Palomina in the car, she's definitely up for a trip, and will be happy to ride shotgun on a lap or a dog bed. If you need to leave her at home, she will adjust, but her real goal in life is to be with you, or at least where she can see you! She seems to thrive on being near her humans. This dog can really make you feel very special, because you will be the king or queen of her world. Her foster mom says that Palomina is a joy to their family, and we would really love to share her joy with you. Please consider adopting Palomina!
Palomina came to us from Santa Cruz County Animal Services, where she was surrendered by her guardians. Her guardians are going through a divorce, and neither party was able to keep a dog.
