Tyler is extremely sweet. Tyler is crate trained, but he also enjoys sleeping in his person's bed when he gets invited up. He does well doing his own thing but enjoys nice pets. He naps or lies around quietly when his person is away from home. A funny quirk of Tyler's is that he seems to find the smallest bed he can squeeze into and curl up into that. Tyler is typically a mellow, low-energy guy, but he does have the occasional burst of playfulness after he eats, and he enjoys tussling with his soft toys.
With his easy disposition, Tyler would likely fit in well in just about any home. He gets along well with other dogs, though he's not interested in interacting with them beyond a quick sniff or two. He bonds deeply with his human caretakers and enjoys receiving affection from them, particularly scratches on his back and hips. Tyler does have some arthritis, but he doesn't let that stop him. He still enjoys going on leisurely walks, and he can still hop up onto the couch or bed!
Tyler came to Peace of Mind because his guardian had major surgery and was no longer able to care for him. They had been together since Tyler was adopted from the shelter when he was three years old.
