Pip is a sweet senior lady who's looking for a cozy lap to land in. Don't let her age fool you, Pip has a lot of energy for a gal of her age. She enjoyed small dog play group at the shelter, but she was more interested in pets and snacks from shelter staff than she was in playing with the other little dogs. Pip would be happiest in a home with other dogs are about her same size or as an only dog. She does great with other small dogs. She has no problem with letting large dogs know when she needs her space but she does not seem thrilled about sharing a home with bigger dogs.
While we don't know much about Pip's history, we do know that she hasn't had much practice walking on a leash; so far, she seems to be a bit baffled about what to do when she has one on. She's a fast learner, but she will need some support and encouragement until she gets the hang of it. She's extremely treat-motivated, and is eager to please when she knows there's a potential snack on offer! She rides well in the car, and is happiest when she has a lap to sit on so she can watch the world go by.
Pip comes to us from San Jose Animal Center, where she was brought in as a stray.
