Dolly Girl is a beautiful senior Lhasa Apso. While she prefers to spend most of her day in a cozy bed, snoring gently, Dolly also has quite an independent streak! When she wakes up from a nap, she loves to explore, and when she has a destination in mind, she can move pretty quickly and nothing can get in the way of her getting where she wants to go. When she meets younger dogs, they sometimes inspire a burst of playfulness in her, and she'll play for a good five minutes before she's ready to nap again. She also enjoys short walks round the neighborhood.
Dolly came from a home where she was living with another dog as well as several cats, and she got along well with all of them. She uses daily drops for her eyes, and she has some arthritis that causes stiffness in her left knee, but otherwise she's quite healthy for her age. She does not have separation anxiety and will settle down to nap while you're out of the house. Dolly is an easy lower energy gal. Her one special request is that she does prefer to sleep in bed with her people!
Dolly came into our program because her guardian moved into assisted living and could no longer care for her.
