Whiskers gets her name from the long, wiry hairs on her snout that seem to belong to a different dog! In addition to her namesake whiskers, she has a pair of very expressive ears. Sometimes they fly out to the side like wings, sometimes one is up and one is to the side, and when she's very, very excited, they both stand straight up!
Whiskers is such a sweet girl. Though she can be quite sassy with other pups when she sees them through a fence or on leash. Once she gets to meet them face to face, she can't wag her nub tail fast enough. She also adores human attention, and will put her paws on your knees and do a little hop to let you know she'd like to be picked up! She even does well with polite children. Whiskers is without teeth, but she still enjoys gumming chew toys. She is quite spry for her age, and has great energy walking on leash.
Whiskers came to us from the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter, where she was surrendered by her guardian.
