Female, 11 years old, 7 pounds
Bitsie may look like a delicate little lady, but she is very tough! Bitsie was found wandering along a country road in King City all by herself. A Good Samaritan picked her up and took her home, and though she alerted all the shelters and vets in the area that she'd found this tiny stray dog, no one came forward to claim her. It seems likely that she was dumped out there. Bitsie wasn't too upset at her unfortunate circumstances, though. She settled right into her rescuer's home on a farm, and she was comfortable sharing her space with two Great Danes as well as various farm animals. She is now making herself comfy in her fosters home where she has done great with her foster siblings of other dogs, cats, even a tortoise! Though Bitsie clearly loves to explore, she's really happiest cozied up in a warm blanket or in someone's lap.

Bitsie needs some further work on pottying outside and seems to be slightly blind. But she has a great appetite and enjoys following her favorite people around the house to see if they will give her more food.

Once it became clear that Bitsie's former guardians weren't looking for her, her rescuer reached out to Peace of Mind to see about bringing her into our program. Though she'd fallen in love with this tiny girl, she realized that a busy working farm wasn't the right environment for her.
