Edna is a sweet, mellow senior Basset lady. She has a gentle disposition and prefers to dream the day away in a cozy spot. She was found as a stray in the San Joaquin Valley, and was brought into the Tulare Animal Shelter along with a pair of chihuahuas. After having a hard time at the shelter, Edna is slowly but steadily rebuilding her confidence and getting reacquainted with the world. She likes to have a quiet space to retreat to when she gets overwhelmed, and she'd prefer a quiet household. She does get along well with other dogs (and cats) and likes to have a confident companion to walk with.
Edna has some hair loss at the moment, likely due to flea allergy dermatitis, and she is also being treated for hypothyroidism, which likely contributes to her somewhat low energy at the moment.
This sweet girl has such a bright future ahead of her, and it's a joy to watch her tail wag more frequently with each day that passes.
