Buddy has the best traits of both breeds he shares; he has the easygoing nature of a Labrador, and the inquisitiveness and intelligence of a Border Collie. That said, his handsome good looks are all his own! He is equally friendly with people and dogs, and loves to make new friends. He has even lived with a cat without issues! He doesn't play with toys but he enjoys a game we call 'go find it' where small treats are hidden all over the house for him to sniff out. He likes to lick peanut butter out of muffin tins. He loves to eat. He lives to eat! He is an avid counter surfer, plate cleaner, picnic food stealer, and grocery bag snatcher.

Buddy does have a history of skin allergies and and arthritis and takes medication to manage these both. Otherwise, he's in excellent shape for his age. He has a tendency to pull on leash (he's just so excited to take in all the interesting smells in the world!) so he does need a strong handler who can help him remember his manners. Buddy seems to do best in a home with a doggie door so he can come in and out as he pleases. This sweet guy is also searching for a home without stairs as stairs are challenging for him to navigate.

Buddy originally came to to Peace of Mind with a request for temporary fostering, but sadly his guardian wasn't coming home.
