Watching a dog come out of their shell is always gratifying, which is why it has been rewarding to see some progress with this shy pup. Cruz is ready for a forever home filled with love and treats. Although it can take time for him to get comfortable, he'll want nothing more than to spend his days by your side once he's ready. With a little patience and a lot of love, Cruz will be a wonderful companion.

Because of his shyness, Cruz would do best in a quiet home with experience caring for shy dogs. He'd also be happy in a place with a brother or sister dog or cat. Although Cruz does well with all the adults he's met, he has not yet been introduced to kids.

Cruz came to us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services. He arrived with injuries consistent with an animal attack and was very shut down at the shelter. He is now in a safe space where he can begin to blossom.
