McCoy is a delightful dog with a tough backstory. But don't feel sorry for him, he doesn't! He is a curious little fellow who likes to play with toys, chew on bones, and meet new people and dogs.
He has an elegant prance and a gentle, sweet disposition. He has enough confidence that he is fine being left home alone and sleeps through the night. He enjoys curling up on a lap but is also happy in a soft bed at your feet.
Being a typical Miniature Pinscher, he loves basking in the sun and snuggling under the covers. He walks nicely on leash and loves going for walks.
McCoy came to us in an emaciated state from a local shelter. It turns out he had undiagnosed diabetes and was not absorbing any nutrients. He weighed only half of what he should weigh. McCoy now receives insulin injections twice a day. He is a good boy about getting his insulin. The shots are easy to administer and we're happy to train anyone who adopts him.
Other than diabetes, McCoy is an easy keeper. Are you the special person who can give this resilient special pup the loving home he deserves?
