You can't help but want to meet the teddy bear of all bears, Osito! He calls Paddington Bear, Baloo, Winnie-the-Pooh and Yogi Bear some of his friends around the world and sadly due to the pandemic, it has been hard for them to travel and meet up. So he's looking for a best friend or two here in Monterey (or someone who's open to making the drive to meet him here!)
Osito certainly lives up to his name: he appreciates cuddles, getting tucked in for naps (napping is his favorite thing to do, by the way!), and would love to sit next to you if given the chance. He does well with other dogs and will politely sniff and wag his tail to say, "Hello, there!" If you're curious, his foster says that 'Osito doesn't bark, whine, cry, growl, bed or demand anything.' While he previously traveled the world to spend time with his friends he prefers to spend his days napping, taking short and slow walks around the neighbourhood and enjoying the couch, wrapped in blankets.
Osito may be blind and not able to hear quite as well, but his superpower is the ability to 'map your home' in his mind a few times before he knows where everything is and won't need your help once he's figured it out on his own! So what do you think? Fancy a sweet, low maintenance teddy bear to spend the rest of his days with you? He'll be hoping to see you at Peace of Mind Dog Rescue for a cuddle soon!
This sweet boy is coming to us from Contra Costa Animal Services.
