Oreo is the sweetest little cookie you are bound to meet! This very mellow, easy-going senior is looking for a safe home where he will receive lots of love and gentle care. Of the five basic senses, his most favorite is taste, always welcoming treats and mealtime. Sight and hearing are senses of his past as he is now blind and deaf, and his smelling-power is also slightly past its prime. Which leaves the sense of touch, which is a mixed bag, as he doesn't mind being held or petted. He isn't the biggest cuddle bug but if he is in the mood, he loves to sit close, snuggles up, and enjoys being rocked. If he is not in the mood, all he wants is his old-man sweater to keep him warm, his comfy bed, and to be left alone for a long nap.

Oreo enjoys moseying around the yard, but is not up for leashed walks. He is polite with other dogs of all shapes and sizes, gives them a few good sniffs, and then prefers to move on. He has no known history with cats or children. What Oreo wants most of all, is his special someone who appreciates the true love and companionship an elderly, petite lap dog has to offer. Someone who understands and does not mind the foibles of aging. His needs are minimal: quiet affection, abundant food, regular potty breaks, and minor health care (his eyes need drops and ointments throughout the day which he is very good about). In return, Oreo will be forever grateful!
