Personable, sweet, and appreciative of the wonders of a domestic life, Quentin is a dog just bursting with potential! His shyness is the first thing that you'd notice about him, but give him a few minutes, and he'd just love some gentle pets. Speaking of pets, he's currently living peacefully with chickens and cats and getting along with them all just fine! Quentin's foster describes him as an absolute delight! He is good on a leash, though he prefers keeping his distance from other dogs while out and about. At his heart, Quentin is a very companionable chap and enjoys the experience of being a BFF (for the first time in his life!).
Quentin was found as a stray in agricultural fields, where local workers had been feeding him for some time. At the shelter he was quite timid; when frightened, he'd show his freeze-or-flight impulses. Quentin's foster shares with us that he has obviously been well-trained in his former life and cared for in an indoor environment. He is happiest sitting on his blanket right beside his person, and he appreciates pets and rubs throughout the day. He would make the perfect companion for someone who lives alone as he bonds deeply with his person. He would prefer to a solo pup, living as the apple of his adopter's eye!
Quentin came to us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services, the shelter where he was taken after being found as a stray.
