Meet Pepito! This little guy is an absolute gem!
Looking for a loving, affectionate, lap dog? This is the pup for you! Want a fully capable ride or die personal secret service agent in a compact Chihuahua body? Pepito's your guy! Need an eager carpool pal or walking partner? He's ready! Want a cuddle buddy without separation anxiety or flight-risk issues? Look no further!
Pepito is a smart, affectionate, loyal, obedient pup who is cat friendly and gets along with nice dogs. On occasion he may need a gentle reminder to stand down (not every hooded stranger is an assassin), but Pepito responds well to correction and is incredibly clever. If you're looking for BIG love in a little body with a splash of Chi spice for occasional strangers, no one is better. Pepito would do best in a childfree home.
Pepito's story is a testament to the power of love and second chances. He came to us from Santa Cruz County Animal Services after being surrendered by his guardian, who could no longer care for him due to living arrangements. He joined his foster home scared, uncertain and in pain, and reacted when pain meds were forcibly administered. He wasn't a bad dog, just scared and in pain. With the loving patience of his new foster mom and tolerant cat family, Pepito's life has made a complete 180! He is now a happy, loving, amazing little companion.
