Pretty Posey (or Maile, as her fosters call her) is a very sweet and gentle pup. She's thoroughly attentive and adores affection from her people. Maile is quite slow to warm up when first making friends. She bonds deeply with her human and dog companions alike, but does need a slower approach to changes in her life. When she feels safe, she enjoys playing with toys and going for a nice long walk.

Maile came into our program very shut down but has come a long way in her loving foster home. Though she still startles easily at loud noises, she is slowly showing more and more of her sweet personality every day. Her adopters will have fun learning new things about her over time as she blossoms in their family. She is searching for a forever home that can be the nurturing environment she needs to be most happy and comfortable. She will do best in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can help her feel secure.

Maile joined Peace of Mind Dog Rescue from Hitchcock Road Animal Services after she was found as a stray.
