At 87 pounds, Rita Marley is a gentle giant who gets along with dogs of all sizes. She also loves people, and if they have treats, even better! Rita Marley loves exploring the world, and despite her age she can be strong when walking on a leash, so she'll do best with a handler who can manage her walking style. Rita has no problem interacting with children and other animals when she's out and about, including cats and chickens. She currently lives with a human family that includes several children, and she adores them all!

Although she loves meeting other dogs outside her home, Rita prefers to be the lady of the household in her own space, so she will do best as a single dog in a loving home. Toys are a favorite of Rita's, especially bones and balls. While she loves having her people around, Rita also does fine when left alone, and you'll probably catch her snoozing after you've been out during the day.

Rita Marley was surrendered to the SPCA when her guardians had to move. Due to her advanced age, they thought she would prefer to find her forever place through a foster home, so she came to Peace of Mind to make that dream come true!
