Oscar sure is ready for the Oscars! With his big smile, he could make an appearance on absolutely every red carpet! Put a bow tie on him and he's ready to go! This sweet little wire-haired guy is eager to please and after some initial shyness, Oscar will wiggle his way straight into your heart with his cute quirks. He's sure to make you laugh and brighten up every single day for you! Oscar can be a bit apprehensive about being picked up and about sharing his toys even with friends so he is looking for a patient adopter who is able to work at Oscar's pace and listen to his needs.
Oscar is really great with other dogs and is always eager to make new friends. He also does well with humans who are patient and give him a little bit of time before bringing him in for cuddles. We know it's hard to resist this little guy, but aren't we all a little shy at times? Oscar has nipped in the past when someone tries to take a toy away from him or picks him up when he doesn't want to be. He will need some training in his forever home to work on these behaviors.
This sweet, smiley boy came to us from the SPCA for Monterey County after being found as a stray. He was adopted but his senior guardian was unable to continue caring for him due to his behavior idiosyncrasies.
