Looking for a true sweetheart? Agatha is as sweet and gentle as they come! This darling lady landed at a local shelter in horrible shape. This poor girl. Her body was covered in feces, she was severely overweight, matted, suspected to be in heart failure, and could barely even stand. It was truly heartbreaking to see any dog in this condition, but Agatha proved to be loving and gentle despite the neglect.

Our staff and veterinary team have Agatha cleaned up and looking and feeling much better already, but she really needs a home where she can lay her head down. Can you help? She's looking for a loving home that can help her lose some weight but also limit her exercise due to her heart condition. She will need more frequent visits to our Monterey vet clinic and some medications. Luckily, she's an easy patient all around. Agatha gets along great with other dogs and seems to enjoy the company of people.

Agatha joined us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services after she was picked up as a stray in this neglectful state. Sadly, her guardians were found but they surrendered her to the shelter because they were not able to meet her medical needs.
