Latte has a very clear agenda for his golden years: enjoy life to the fullest, embrace the limitations of an aging body, and be as quirky as all get out. This sweet lad craves gentle attention and tender pets, and he wants nothing more than to be around his favorite people. He has a very mellow, easy-going personality and gets along well with anyone he meets, including other dogs. At his foster home he is slightly terrified of the cat, although this cat has done him no wrong. We think he may be ok around careful older children, but he is too delicate to be around young kids. Latte enjoys toddling around the yard or going for short, slow walks, and then finding a comfy spot for a nap. He is content on car rides and also when home alone for a little while.
Mr Latte has quite a list of adorable peculiarities. For one, he does not have much control over his hind legs which gives him a bit of a wobbly sailor sort of swagger. Hopefully, he will get back on his feet with regular exercise. When he feels left out, he sings the saddest little song, and then he can be very silly and energetic during his spunky moments. Latte is on heart medication which he takes two times a day. This content little pup dreams of a loving home with caring people and a little extra space for his comfy dog bed. He will require a house without stairs as he will not be able to climb them and does not appreciate being picked up.
This sweet senior joins us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services after he was picked up as a stray. Due to her senior status, the shelter found he would do best in a senior focused rescue.
