Leela is a sweet senior Chihuahua who has been through more than any little dog should, yet she meets every new person with gentle eyes and a heart full of love. She came to us with a severe injury to her eye, and thanks to our amazing vet team, she's getting the care she needs to heal. Leela will still need some extra TLC as she recovers, but she's more than worth the effort.

Miss Leela will happily spend her days wrapped in blankets, snoozing in your arms, or tucked into a comfy spot beside you. People are what makes her most happy. She's also wonderful with other dogs.Despite everything she's been through, Leela's gentle spirit shines.

Leela joined us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services after she was found as a stray with a serious injury to her eye which required immediate medical attention. Due to the urgency of her medical needs, she joined rescue to get the treatment she needed.
