Little miss Punky, her sister, momma and pops were all found in a home in concerning conditions late last year. When local animal control officers were alerted to the condition the dogs were being kept in, the little family was removed from the home. POMDR was able to take the parents and the puppies into our program to get them the fresh start they deserve.
Punky is a more independent and outgoing little lady. She enjoys toddling off on adventures on her own and getting into trouble, but how can you be mad at a face like this? As a young and impressionable pup, she will need further socialization with her next family -- getting exposure to people, places and things out in the world -- and would greatly benefit from training courses early on.
The puppies are about 2 months old currently and growing like little weeds! Mom is about 10 pounds and Dad is a little bigger at about 18 pounds. They both seem to be Poodle mixes and are both incredibly sweet!
We expect to get many more questionnaires than we have puppies! We ask that you please be patient with us while we go through all of the applications and make the best matches, and understand if you are not selected. We have only so many puppies to go around!
Adopters will need to commit to a $905 initial investment to adopt a puppy from POMDR: $305 for adoption fee, $300 for refundable spay/neuter deposit, $300 for refundable training deposit. The spay/neuter deposit will be reimbursed once the dog is altered at the POMDR clinic (at no cost to the adopter) or we receive proof of alter from another clinic. (Adopter must pay for the full alter if done at an outside clinic.) The training deposit will be refunded once we are presented with proof that the puppy is enrolled in a training class or working with a private trainer.
