Meet Ginger, a lovely senior lady who proves that the classics never go out of style. Named after the pickled ginger that brightens every sushi plate, this sweet girl brings a gentle warmth and just the right touch of spice to everyone she meets. Ginger may be a golden-years gal, but don't mistake that for boring. Sure, she prefers a slower pace these days- cozy naps, sunny spots, and leisurely strolls, but every now and then she'll surprise you with a determined (and very cute) slow-motion dash for the door when she thinks adventure might be waiting outside.

Like many senior sweethearts, Ginger does have a medical journey ahead, but she's in good hands. Our veterinary team is actively working through her care plan and making sure she gets everything she needs to feel her best. What she needs most now is a loving home where she can continue that journey with comfort, patience, and plenty of soft places to rest.

Ginger joins us from Contra Costa Animal Services after he was found as a stray. Due to her medical need and senior status, they felt that she would do best in the care of a senior focused rescue.
