What happens when you mix Mayo and Relish? You get Tartar Sauce! Tartar Sauce and his siblings surprised the POMDR family in July, and he's the last of the bunch waiting for a family!

Tartar Sauce is a sweet, smart pup. He picks up on stuff quickly, so be prepared to stay ahead of this guy as he learns to navigate the world. Much like his siblings, he is extremely loving, but he is the gentle one, preferring to be with calm dogs and minimizing rough playtime. With older dogs, he has been nothing but kind. He would do best in a household without young children. When confused, he gives a cute head-tilt sure to melt your heart.

Tartar Sauce prefers not to be handled too much by new people, but once he gets to know you, he is your faithful companion. He would do best in a quiet and patient household, where he is slowly introduced to the many new sights, sounds, and smells in the world. Like any other puppy, he is in an important developmental period. Adopters should be ready to get him training to help with his socialization and development, especially because he has shown a timid side. How did Tartar come to find himself with a senior dog rescue you may ask? His senior mom was brought into our rescue from a partner shelter. Unknown to everyone, she was heavily pregnant. She gave birth just days after her arrival with us, and Tartar was one of these little ones. We'd love to find him the perfect home that can meet his needs and where he can shine.
