Adoptions Coordinator
Before joining the POMDR staff in May of 2026, Courtney volunteered with POMDR for about five years. During that time, she was a dog transporter, a handler at adoption events, a dog walker with our Helping Paw Program, a BE Buddy and a foster. Before that, she volunteered at Hearts Therapeutic Equestrian Center in Santa Barbara as a lesson assistant and part of their barn crew.
Prior to her involvement with POMDR, she worked primarily in health care. This included roles as a medical assistant, caregiver and patient coordinator.
Courtney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health with a focus in Health Education from Cal State Chico. She has various certificates related to health care such as Infection Control and Dental Practices. She also obtained her Yoga Teacher Certification and has completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in India.
